Snowman made with a aock
By Tricia

Clip to ScrapBook
Have each student bring in 1 white sock without holes. Fill the socks with kitty litter ($2 for a 25 lb. bag at WalMart). Give each student 3 rubberbands-1 for the top and the others for the body of the snowman. I ask parents to donate fabric glue, felt, buttons, fabric, yarn, pipe cleaners (for the arms), googlie eyes etc. and the students "dress" their snowman. The kids love it! And they turn out really cute! This is the gift that they take home for their families. I also extend this activity into language arts and have the students write a creative adventure for the snowman.
