Leaving my class

Hello. This IS a hard one. I went through the same thing two years ago with fifth graders. I was at a charter school which I did not like working at. Well I taught there for 1 1/2 yrs. In Oct of my second year there, I| was offered a job teaching fifth in a regular public school. I LOVED my students and they LOVED me too. It was hard leaving them and the parents. They were all wonderful. BUT, I had to think of my long term career plans first. This is my LIFE I am dealing with here! I wrote the parents/students a good-bye letter. The kids/parents threw me the greatest going away party ever and I was on | |
my way! About a month later, I went back to visit them. They were doing great with their new teacher and I got lots of hugs! You really are doing the right thing!
