Maybe . . .
By Elaine

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't know if this is true everywhere or not, but I've been told that in our state the odd numbered years are major teaching/introducing new topics, and the even numbered years are polishing. So, if that's the case a 2
(polishing)/3 (into new concepts) split would seem to be more difficult than a 3 (intro new concepts)/4 (polishing) split. Maybe it will be way better than you think. It sounds like a great opportunity for you and your students. Does that kind of split mean that next year you say goodbye to the 4th graders, keep the 3rd for another year, and say hello to new 3rd graders? OR does it
mean you will just have these 3rd/4th graders Jan. through May?

Whatever the case, good luck. Let us all know how everything goes for you.
Elaine

P.S. (Are you the Kelly doing the Environmental (box) project over on the science board?)
