You could teach story elements which is a reading comprehension skill. You could put them in groups and provide a story, game board, and a spinner. On the spinner would be setting, problem, solution, etc. To advance on the board, the student would have to spin and answer correctly to be able to roll the dice to move. You could provde an anwser sheet, and after they could fill in a story map for an evaluation on another story. These blank spinners are available at teacher supply stores in the math manipulative section Happy planning.
