Triple pay
By Ken M.

Clip to ScrapBook
Leigh,

For what you walked into I think triple or quadruple pay is warranted. It sure is incredible that the regular teacher had nothing planned even a week ahead, unless he/she was brand new.

If this school district
offers French at the 4th - 6th grade level I'd think they'd also have French teacher(s) for the higher grades and someone could have seen to it that one of these other teachers came with materials, etc. to keep the kids busy, particularly with the need to cover a whole week.

Not even getting a simple thanks at the end of the week for having to do all that outside stuff, etc. really is

sad. If they cared about their school someone should have seen you going way beyond a daily sub. payrate, etc. and given you at least that.

Oh well, hopefully you improved your French.

Best, Ken in WI (No French but some Spanish)
