Silhouette?

hello, i am also an art teacher and find this interesting. there are many stages a child goes through in their drawings. it sounds like you are describing an outline of a person or animal. is this correct? i would discribe it as a silhouette, just the outter edges are drawn. i also would like to know more possibly about her age and some further descriptions...
