Paying for own aide
By Toni

Clip to ScrapBook
Thanks, Michelle for responding to my question. It's just the kind of information I need to consider while deciding whether to do this. I had an Americorp person assiged to my class this last trimester. She could only come
75 minutes twice a week, and told me she could only work with students and could not do paperwork for me. She only showed up about 50% of the time, due to other obligations that took priority over my class. I do want someone just to help with "housekeeping". And I want this person everyday at a certain time--the last hour of the teaching day and one hour after school. I did have a college
student lined up to help the last two months of school, but she got in an accident and couldn't follow through with her committment. Also, the time she was coming was still not a time period that would be most useful to me.

Any other info you have on this matter would be very much appreciated. Thanks again, Toni
