I just found this website and am I thankful! I have been subbing just this year after homeschooling my own 2 sons for the past 16 yrs. I really enjoy the teaching, it is so energizing...but of course tiring all at the same| time. I have 3 schools that call on me but one that really likes me-doesn't that feel good! I just finished day 1 of a 3 day sub job. 1st graders in a Year round school.(it's been confusing to learn the different color tracks but it works and I meet the teachers as they "track on") Does anyone else find that 1st graders are extremely talkative-they just don't "get it" that we don't talk | |
in class? Funny, by 2nd and 3rd grades(my favorites) they are well mannered and a joy to teach. The teachers at my #1 school all encourage me to apply for a full-time, maybe in a year-I enjoy being able to say 'no' when I need a day off. Well, I will bookmark you guys!!! Keep up the good work-we may be just "substitutes" but I think the teachers appreciate us. God Bless you all and let Him give you the strength you need each day! Colette
