I agree with Monica. The CBEST is relatively easy. There are 3 parts to it: Reading/Comprehension; Math; and Writing. You can take each part at different times. But most do not need to. Most take all 3 parts at once.
Also, if you don't pass one part, you just take that part over - not the entire test. So no sweat.

However, The MSAT is unreasonably difficult. Or so I am told by those who have taken it. Many people have to take it at least twice.

I've read many times of this board that reading/studying E.D. Hirsch's series of books for the 4th, 5th, & 6th grade helps a lot. This would involve

you purchasing 3 books. Each is $12.95 plus tax. You can get them through most book stores. They are entitled "What Your 5th Grader Needs to Know" "What Your 4th........ etc.

Personally, I think the MSAT is the Most Stupid Assessment Test ever!
