I want to totally change the way I have been doing spelling. I use the Scholastic Spelling component from Literacy Place (My district purchased the program last spring)I use the old-dated 20 words on Monday, Test on Friday, Words forgotten by Monday. I read the section in GR and W regarding Spellig and I have a few question. The book suggests 6-8 words a week - some core words that coinside with a phonics skill, etc. How many words do you use? Do you choose the core words? How do students come up with personal words? Your spelling method sounds so meaningful. I would really appreciate any help! Thanks, Wendy
