teaching portfolio

I don't know how things are done where you are job hunting so don't take this the wrong way. When I was interviewing for jobs last year, no one spent more than 60 seconds looking at my painstakingly put together teaching portfolio. The person who DID spend a little more time looking at it was drawn by the photos that showed the progressive bulletin board we created for the unit I student taught. My point: try to use pictures to grab their attention, so they may spend a little more time talking to you. No one every read even one of my lesson plans or really looked at samples of student work. But like I said...things may be different where you are!
Good Luck on the job hunting! P.S. I DID get a job, & they didn't look at my portfolio at all!
