Trish is the one who has actually tried this method with her students. I love the idea and am interested in everything Trish has to say. I am learning from her experiences since I am planning on using it next year with my intermediate level students. The teacher I knew who implemented the Homework Quiz in her 6th-grade math students, did the Quiz every Friday. There is nothing sacred about the quiz coming on a specific day. I think the idea is for students to be on-task and prepared AT ALL TIMES. They should know in advance that it's their responsiblility to do their work, and a quiz to check for understanding could come at any time! Is that the way you see it, Trish? Elaine
