Politics in Education By Julie

Last year I was asked the following for grade 4: What age group do you prefer? What would you do if a parent came in at 8:55 and was upset (very upset) about his son being bored in your class? If you were on a baseball team,| what position would you be? When I walk into your room during Reading, what will I see? What would you do if a student was defiant, swearing..lost it? How would you evaluate a piece of writing? What pushes your buttons? How would you use the computer? Give an example of a lesson that went badly, how did you turn it around? Which do you like better, Language Arts or Math? But ya know, | | don't go crazy like I did coming up with answers. I agree with the other post. I think it's all very political. I sent out stuff in April this year and haven't had one interview yet. I only know the people in the school I tutor in and they haven't interviewed anybody yet as far as I know(there are very few openings for elementary). But I'd rather get a job without "help" because then I know they really want me. It just may take longer, but at least I will know I got the job because of me, not who I know.
