End of year units

We are doing a unit on Hawaii in 2nd grade to wrap up our year. We learned about the islands, volcanoes, and even made surfers out of poster board and wrapping paper for the swimsuits and surfboards out of tissue paper and hangers that we rebent. We are making grass skirts, leis, and ukuleles the last few days and then we are having a luau on the last day of school. The students have really enjoyed it and it gets them thinking about summer!
