What to hang on the walls
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Tara,
Nearly all the things hanging on my wall are done by the kids. We started the year by doing a getting to know you activity (for 4th part of the curriculum is AZ state / history stuff so we did Family Great Seals
(each tribe and state has one). The kids used whatever art materials available to make a 2-D seal that still hangs on the wall. In the middle of this wall, there are two framed art posters by one of my favorite Native American artists, R.C. Gorman.
I put fadeless paper and a generic border on another board so whatever else went up/down looked OK thru out the year. We hang our
author study projects/book projects with reactions and summaries. Colored paper and a cute font for the typed responses adds accent. Our word wall is constructed as the kids study mathematics/science and need these terms (also on fadeless paper). Whenever we begin a new 'big idea', a wonders web is constructed and hung on the wall. Hope this helps. ;-D
