Yes I wouldn't be happy either if someone was coming back to take supplies for their new classroom. Have you talked to your administrator about this? It also sounds like budget management is an issue at your school which doesn't help matters either. All classrooms should have the basic supplies like a listening center and calculators, etc., Or at least a class set of calculators that can be signed out. Perhaps you can suggest some new ideas to your colleagues on ways to better use the budget so everyone gets a fair share.

But I agree in this case that next year the classroom is yours and you should just say no if she comes asking.
