3 strike rule is bogus
By Jackie

Clip to ScrapBook
I sub for two systems in Indiana. The gal in charge of assignments for the city told us at the orientation that if we told her "no" three times, she wouldn't call us anymore--she had X number of spots to fill in Y amount
of time! AND they didn't want us to sub for another school. And yet, they really needed dedicated people....(pick a story and stick with it). I only sub a Tues. Thurs & Friday. I've turned her down for one reason or another, and sometimes I really think she leaves me "out there". I got a call from her just last night, wondering if I was available for Friday (or anymore). I went to the
(better) other school today.
CALL HER!! There's alot of sub work out there for all the reasons the others gave. If she gets her feathers ruffled---sign on with another school (If there's one close to you). Maybe you might run in to one of the other teachers, and mention that you miss going to their school.....
