Gifts
By Shannon

Clip to ScrapBook
Quite frankly, I think you should just accept the gifts. As my mom (veteran teacher) says, it is true that you seldom get anything you want and/or need. However, I don't think the kids would understand the spirit of the "no gifts" policy. As adults, we might understand or even appreciate this kind of modesty, but a kid wouldn't. And hey, if a kid is willing to give a small trinket, no matter how useless, to show any kind of appreciation for the time, money, emotion, and effort you have put into him/her, why should you say no?
