portable

Clip to ScrapBook
Dear Erin,

I was stuck in a portable once, too. It was very old and ugly, and it took a lot of imagination and creativity to come up with ways to improve the setting! One thing you can do is buy spring rods and put curtains
up with very appealing and homey patterns. I put up a school pattern. WalMart sells a lot of beautiful school patterns around the middle of the summer (when back-to-school stuff comes out). I took down the very ugly, broken, and bent blinds. I brought in a can of paint over the weekend and painted the ugly things in the room. You could try contact paper or wallpaper. I put up
a homey looking apple clock and took down the old and yellowed school-issued clock. My floor tiles were coming up, so I put down an area rug. This also helped prevent the chair scraping noise. Plants help liven up the room and make it look homier. Philodendrons do quite well in a classroom.

I think that with determination, you will have a more appealing classroom.
