I am a grade 8 teacher( and love it)and I have been involved in transition protocols with the high school my students attend.
Meetings to discuss students with exceptionalities,students that might need special math or l.a. classess occur on weekly bases, starting in May.We have organised a Buddy system for the grade 8 students as well as pair them with compatible teachers. There are many things that could be done to make the passing from one level to another easier. TAKE CHARGE AND BE PROACTIVE.Kids need us.We can't take time to play around with anger.
