I know what you mean about being made to feel incompetant if you have to remove a student. At the above mentioned middle school, the principal is a refined, dignified lady--who is sssssooooo politically correct. She came
into my little corner of purgatory, and spoke to the students in a calm, soft, matter of fact "respectful" tone. (I don't think those hyenas would know respect if it bit them). She suggested that somethings I had said might have tones that would just stir them up. Yeah, like they needed my help. Sure, I try it---but it works for her, because she has LEVERAGE. She knows they know what
she can do to them! The assistant principal, who will be principal next year (thank God), is real. He made real sense to me......I may go back next year when he is in charge. But if I don't finish the research paper I am working on, that is due Monday night, I may be doomed to SUBliminal purgatory forever! ....thanks for the chuckle...
