I think you'll love 2nd grade! They are so much more independent. You will really appreciate all the hard work that you wonderful first grade teachers do to take them from being kindergarteners when they first come to you to being ready for 2nd grade. Another neat thing you will see by mid year is what readers they have become! Plus, you still have children who adore you and still like to do fun and "cutesy" things like first graders.
