Parent teacher conferences
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Diane,
On the problem with multi children in a family, we have a conference book (1,000 K-6th Grade in our school) that starts with Kinder and moves thru the GLs at intervals so each teacher can check for the closest
available spots for their siblings. I also have an information card on each child that gives each parent's occupation and work hours. This helps me decide whether a day or evening is more feasible.
Also, have you ever done student led conferences? These are great, you'll definitely have nearly if not all of your families, as the children prepare and present their work. They take
some time to prepare for, because their primary purpose is to have the children reflect on their learning over the past quarter and make goals for the new one...definitely worth the energy. If you'd like specific info on these, please post again or email. Best of luck. ;-D
