I have a sister who lives in the Bay Area and she tells me there is a shortage of teachers up there. I know Oakland is one district you could get hired with emergency credentials. Just research the different districts up there. If you want to teach math/science there is a signing bonus. Good luck! For the MSAT read those What Your 4th/5th/6th Grader Needs to Know, they are excellent for the science and history portions of the test. That test is a killer! Be prepared to take it at least twice!
