Name Game & a Partridge in a Pear Tree
By Andrea

Clip to ScrapBook
I've done a variation on this where I assign a # value to each letter of the alphabet, starting with A=1 thru Z=26. The kids use their full names incl middle to figure it out. Sometimes I add in the name of their school, teacher, my name, an upcoming holiday, etc. to do. I also picked up a great Math activity in a 5th gr that is appropriate for Christmas. The teacher had assigned odd dollar values to each of the 12 days of Christmas for multiplication practice. The partridge in a pear tree was the hardest as she gave the price for a PAIR of partridges & a DOZEN pear trees to make the last one challenging (it was done in reverse order).
