I once had an interview like that scheduled with potential team members. I was so nervous because it seemed like all that lofty stuff I had told the interview team of district administrators and principals would be very| off-putting to teachers who had their own agendas. It's not that I felt the other teachers would be rude or out to get me, it's just that it's an odd dynamic in that kind of interview situation. I know now that if I had to do an interview with a potential team member, I would want the person who seemed most willing to follow our rules and format (that is, be a "team player"). Point is, | | I agree that you should be more interested in learning about their ideas (and discussing how you have experience with similar situations) than discussing a whole bunch of your own. Of course, they will ask you questions, but unless you have some really far out theories, I'm pretty sure you'll be safe. And if you do have some far-out theories that they don't agree with, maybe that job wasn't for you. (By the way, I never did go on that interview, because simultaneously another person at that school took that job, and I got offered another job in my current school. So I can't tell you how the interview went, but I'm sure yours will be just fine ... you're already showing initiative!)
