behavior interferes By chantal

Isn't it true that if a child's behavior impacts their learning that they may be considered a sped student(emotionally)? The alternative ed program sounds appropriate because, obviously regular classroom cannot meet his needs. It doesn't seem right that a reg. classsroom teacher (and the new students) should have to go through it all over again next year when. You should stick toyour guns as it seems you have more contact and understanding of this child than the person suggesting retention!
