Hi,
My situation is very similar. I am very worried if I will have a teaching job next year. I am part time this year as an a.m. kindergarten teacher. Enrollment is down for next year, therefore I am no longer needed
in that position. A first grade teacher however will be hired. I need to get full time desperately. The principal has informed me that another teacher in the building has asked to be moved to 1st grade. She has never taught first and I have 6 years experience here. Is there anything I can say or do to increase my chances of getting the position. I am new to the building. My only other

option would possibly be 3rd or 4th and Im very worried about either of these. This is a district that I have tried for 5years to get in and thought I had my foot in the door. I'm worried and don't know if I should wait it out or go else where to apply. I dread the thought!! Any words of wisdom? I really want 1st grade!!
