how awful
By RH

Clip to ScrapBook
I would clearly communicate to these parents that sharing marks, scores, samples, etc. is totally illegal and breaks your confidentiality code. If a parent is caught going through another child's portfolio, legal action
should be threatened if they do it again. I would get a building wide policy to enforce this. The parent of the first grader could sue your district if she knew other parents were looking at her child's work.

I am just curious, how do the other parents know what this child is doing or capable of? How is that communicated to these parents?

I'd also make the Hurried Child by D Elkind

required reading for these parents.

How awful to raise children like this. Imagine what kind of children they are raising, so intent on outperforming that they forget who they are.

Good luck
