They are looking for:
classroom management techniques ("the teacher look" shot to talking students, being aware of the total classroom, circulating the room, being proactive, and using praise to encourage good behavior);
clear objectives in your written plans; lesson closure; Giving clear instructions
; Adapting to students needs; possibly use of technology; and just using basic good teaching practices.
When I did my demo lesson, I gave the students nametags so I could call them by name (good for behavior and calling on them when they raised hands). I also worked it out with classroom teacher to

use her classroom discipline plan (they got smiley faces on the board if they cooperated throughout the lesson). My principal commented on these things after my lesson. It's really a glimpse of how you'll be as a teacher in their school, so they are looking to see if your style fits in with their plan. Good Luck!
