We must be backwards here
By Andrea

Clip to ScrapBook
Our attendance is all still done by travelers cards. Of course, New York & its budgetary problems & education cuts doesn't lend much to technological improvement. One district in which I work has computers with tiny little
screens that are so old it took me awile to figure out how to turn them on! But once you do, unless the classroom teacher has configured it so, you don't need a password for access. This is true in another one, where at least they have shiny new Gateways. The third changes its passwords constantly. A lot of the regular teachers think it's just stupid to deny subs computer access
& will update you on them so you can use them. I like to go into Print Shop & make up a sign with my name on it to post on the board. The kids are always eager to see my newest "traveling nametag". And, quiter frankly, they don't pay me enough to waste my own ink cartidges on it!
