Sub with Student Teacher
By Cathy

Clip to ScrapBook
I must admit, the best experience I ever got during my student teaching was the few days that my cooperating teacher was absent and there was a sub in the room. It was the first time that I actually felt "in charge" and
responsible for everything that was going on in the classroom. Luckily, I had a sub that didn't mind letting me do everything (which I wanted) and it was great. The best way to learn anything is to do it and practice and this is the next best thing to being totally on your own.
BTW: this is my first time posting on this board and I would just like to say to all the substitute teachers:
you are awesome. I would never take a subbing job during college for fear of not being able to control someone elses class. I've heard horror stories from many people. Keep up the good work! We really need you.
