para's

Clip to ScrapBook
I had a similar situation. I went to my admininistration over this. It took a while but when a very reliable sub was in the room for a much needed "dock days" vacation with my husband- she reported what was happening. Para's
get evaluated and we did one on her- it wasn't good. She was upset and did exactly what the admin. told her not to do but write a written response about how every one was wrong- we had a 3 hr. meeting in his office and futue evaluations every month. She was told that if he had to chose, it would be me over her. Other teachers, came to my defense about things they saw and heard her do
and say. That was last year it ended not pretty but we talked over the summer and I agreeed to try again. She did improve. This year has been better so much better. You can't change a basic bad attitude but you can change how they work for you. I had to be more assertive and especially better at being confrontational with her and telling her all the time what she was doing wrong and right. I have 3 now in my room and I am a better boss. Let me know if I can help.
