Long Term Sub
By Jerry

Clip to ScrapBook
I took a Three and a half week position under similar circumstances. The Pros: Kept the students from a different Sub every other day. I got to know the kids and they got to know me. I became part of the teaching "Team",
and have been called by them for Subbing. A nice paycheck. The Cons: Creating a "Unit" and making lesson plans for it and gradeing the work. It kept me from accepting other jobs that I might have liked better. Like you, I prefer "Pick and Choose" jobs at my leisure. I won't take a long term job again, as it ties me down and can be stressful knowing I am locked into that period of time,
when I'm supposed to be retired and have many home projects and travel on my plate. I think you should decline if you're not real eager to take it. It didn't seem to put me on a Black List, as I still get the usual number of calls.Jn
