My pay is much worse this is my 2nd year and I am only making 30,000- while it doesn't sound too bad I live in Hawaii and the cost of living is way up there.

Another problem with the pay is how much we have to spend of it on school. I used to be a nurse and I never spent a cent on work (other than uniforms, shoes, etc...)I didn't have to by my own bandaides, alcohol wipes, needles, IV stands, fluids.....but with teaching I buy paper, pencils, books, bandaids, paper towels, kleenex, markers, notebooks, you name it it seems like I am always picking up something for school!
