Read the post I wrote in a few months after this is blown over. You will see I wasn't being nasty, I was trying to let you see that you can relax a little bit and not think you had to be perfect all the time. I'm not much
older than you and had the same thoughts when I first started teaching. That is why my first sentence was what it was. Hey, you brought up a topic that obviously needed to be discussed otherwise it wouldn't have been responded to as much. Just, please, enjoy teaching but also enjoy your young life. Of course, I'm not promoting showing up to work drunk, or sharing with perverted jokes.
But relax. I really wasn't trying to be sarcastic. Read it again, but with another view point. (As a young teacher, talking to another young teacher, not an attacking teacher talking to some young idiot). It's an exciting, roller coaster first year and I sincerely wish you the best of times! Good luck.
