SCHWA WORDS

I HAVE BEEN TEACHING 2ND GRADE FOR 7 YEARS AND OUR OLD READING SERIES HAD SCHWA WORDS INTRODUCED BRIEFLY, BUT IT WAS JUST THE WORDS THAT BEGAN WITH "A" LIKE ABOUT AND ACROSS. THEN THIS NEW READING SERIES HAD "LE" WORDS AND I WAS LOST. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND SCHWA WORDS WHEN THEY TAUGHT IT TO ME AS A STUDENT AND I DON;T UNDERSTAND IT NOW AS AS TEACHER. WHAT DO YOU DO?
