Clip to ScrapBook
I should add that the entire 5th grade did this project (we switched classes and the English teacher assigned it, but could also have been done in individual classrooms). Also, 1 student per grade level read an autobiography
entry at the ceremony. I also forgot that they also had to write a letter from "the future me" saying what they thought they'd be doing in ten years, and citing what they thought would be the most significant memories.
Incidentally, this particular teacher chose not to grade the autobiographies. She really pushed the internal motivation element and emphasized that this
would be an artifact they would want to keep. She also wrote notes/comments on post its and didn't make any marks on the actual books so they could keep them nice.
