Thanks very much for sharing your experience. I agree that in my daughter's case, her maturity level is not necessarily above average. She is a bit unique however because of her interests. I am hoping kindergarten will be a positive environment for her to develop socially. I do worry sometimes that things she obsesses about now (reptiles, dinosaurs, insects) will be replaced by Britney Spears but I guess I must let her face the dark side and deny it on her own
Thanks again for your help- they use the Accelerated Reader program here so maybe that will work for my daughter as well.
