Been there; done that

As a first year sped teacher, I have also been through the ringer. Between the parents and administrators our whole self concept is shot to hell. I have learn that I went through the incompentent stage and now I am in the "who cares" stage. Whatever you decide just remember that you are not suppose to reach all the students just a few or may be even one. Don't let other people who have years of experience compared to your 1, determine your fate as a teacher. You had a dream live your dream and let the rest "fall by the wayside." You need to make the decisions for you not other people, after all they won't have to live with you, you have to live with yourself.
