stinky sponges
By Leanne

Clip to ScrapBook
In between bleach soakings/dishwasher rinsings, it is important to keep sponges dry by storing them on a raised rack that allows for aeration. Then, immerse them in a bowl of antibacterial soap and warm water before use. The smell you mention indicates that mould and bacteria are growing on the sponges between uses...and then being wiped over tables. The antibacterial soap will keep these at bay.
