Feedback

Tobi,

For me this is one facet of sub'ing that I find frustrating sometimes. I am debating how much follow-up I should do with those teachers I have not sub'd for before or with the principals, etc. I always hate to come
across as too pushy, then not get called again or only when they exhaust the other sub's.

I sub. in several smaller school districts and I do get some feedback from some teachers; particularly those I have sub'd for before but even then I generally have to call/e-mail them. I feel fortunate to have several that have told me they will ask for me as I have a Wis. emergency sub. license

based on a 4 year degree but with little teaching experience.

I also leave what I believe to be detailed notes. I'm also leaving a card with phone #, e-mail and cell phone. One of the threads below speaks to this approach.

I sure wish that schools would have some mechanism in place to give us some form of evaluation; perhaps this is an area that is lacking even for part-time or maybe even full-time teachers.

Best, Ken in WI.
