Thanks for responding. I pulled the child aside and asked her that I was concerned about the phone calls she made this weekend. She denied calling me until I mentioned that I have caller ID and her mom's name was on it.
She refused to talk about it but looked surprised and embarassed. I told her I wanted a written explanation by the end of the day. She wrote that she was sorry. She found my name in a book (I'm hoping the phone book) and apologized again for all the calls. I wrote back and said that if the mysterious phone calls continued that I would call the police and the principal. I also explained
what the term harassment meant and that it is against the law. I'm hoping that will put an end to it. I've also logged the calls and saved the number on my caller ID and saved her letter. Thanks for all the responses. It helped me to stay calm and approach it better! Margaret
