Reading and Social Studies

I have found two great authors that seem to cover 5th grade social studies in their literature. The books are easy reading so it can be used for all levels of kids in 5th grade. Robert Clyde Bulla and Betsy Maestro. Bulla has "A Lion to Guard Us" (Jamestown), "Squanto, A Friend of the Pilgrims" (Pilgrims) and "Pocahontas". Maestro has everything from The Discovery of the Americas, Conquiring America, Colonial America, Immigration, Union of the People (writing the constitution). They are both great authors.
