Persuasive Writing

There is a new book that just came out by Berry Lane I dont remember what it is called something like Why we must run with scissors. Its a book of lessons for teaching persuasive writing. There is suggested literature to use with specific lessons. Another idea, we always start our persuasive writing unit close to Christmas and write persuasive letters to our parents about Christmas presents.
