i have a special ed. class for kids with behavioral difficulties. one thing that i think might help you out is to try to plan some fun, hands-on lessons for your group. keep them on the topics that you are studying already. maybe get the kids up out of there seats or try even get them outside. you want them to buy into what you are doing and become interested in participating. that gives you much more leverage. when you are setting and maintaining behavioral expectations then, the kids will have a reason to comply. they want to do the assignment. it also may give them a direction to direct some of their energy. good luck...
