AR
By Julie

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year, our first year with AR, was monotonaus because we didn't have enough quizzes at any level. So, we'd make quizzes and put them on the system. However, it was tiring and tedious. I did find a site called bookadventure.com,
which offers FREE quizzes and they usually have any book we're looking for. They offer points for other prizes, but I just take the equivalent AR points and add them to their bank.
I allow my students to read outside their level and have found that it has worked better to have my students contract their grade, rather than giving them individual goals. I will do individual
challenges for students who seem to be in a slump. But, so far this year, I haven't needed to. I certainly have not had to do as much nagging about achieving goals!
