I taught my two kids in 1st grade ( one 2 years a go and one last year) and we had a very good time together. We talked about the 'rules' beforehand - at home I'm Mom at school I'm their teacher and it worked really well. They like their other teachers but they still tell me once in awhile that they'd love to come back to my class, especially for read-alouds and PE. Occasionaly they gave me insight on some things I wouldn't have thought about ( but their dad handled the homework).
Now they're looking forward to being in their father's class, in 5th grade!
