I would feel threatened

There is NO WAY that I would have a conference alone with those parents. The mother said that her husband was going to set you straight. I would consider that a threat.
I would insist on having an administrator present.
Any grown woman that is so vocal and blatant about her racist perspectives is not mentally all there. She sounds ignorant, unintelligent, and completely out of line.
Please do yourself a favor, have someone else present at that conference.
