Clip to ScrapBook
Last year I spent quite a while looking at tessellating patterns with my grade 5 class. We made tessellating patterns by cutting out a piece of cardboard that was 4cm by 4cm. Then each child cut a bit off the square and stuck it on another side. This shape then tesselated and they used the shape as a template and cut out 16 of them, choosing to use either 4 x 4 different colours or 2x 8 different colours.

They looked sensational and received a lot of favourable comments.

hope this helps.
